How do I cut the fiber optic filament or cable ?

Cutting the fiber optic filament or cable is not as hard as it might seem.

It's possible to cut the thinner diameter fibers and cable with a sharp scissors.

This includes the filament from

.25mm - 1.0mm in diameter

The medium diameter filaments:

1.5mm - 3.0mm and the fiber optic cable can be cut with a good wire or jewelers snip.

After you make the cut, you may need to sand down any spurs or rough ends with a fine grit sandpaper.

When you're in the thicker diameter cables and side glow fibers, you will need to use a cutting instrument that cuts with an even torque.
