Holes were drilled in the cockpit instrument panels to accommodate LED’s (used for forward and aft scopes) and for the Fiber Optic lines.

Fiber Optic lines were cut, then placed into the drilled holes.

A view of the fiber optic lines with tips melted.

All Fiber Optic lines were run into either a Green LED or a Red LED which gave the cockpit lighting its colors

Check out how REAL it looks!

WOW!

The plane was painted and custom decals were made with the computer and ALPS1000 printer. The cockpit lighting and wing tip/tail flashing lights are controlled by the hand controller.  The Vulcan gun is fired by the hand controller which also provides machine gun sounds.  The hand controller also runs the J79 engines with engine sounds.

The F-4 is placed on a runway that was made using a scanner (scanned in a 1/48 scale Tarmac) enlarged it to a 1/32 scale and printed several copies and splice them together. There are approach lights (flashing in sequence) and green LED runway lights.

Thank you Fred, for submitting a great project!
